Dear Pat,

Check w robinson helicopters. They have a conversion kit for the six cylinder Lycoming that allows it to run on regular pump gas. You maybe able to convert yours 206 to pump gas as well. Maybe that makes your operation cheaper?

Yours,

Hans

Dear Father Pattern,
My name is Katie Lawton and I am a fourth year medical student at Manchester, UK. I am planning on an elective in Tanzania in March 2013, and while doing some research I came across the Africa Flying Doctors and thought it sounded a fantastic project!
Could you please tell me if you accept elective students on your project?
Many Thanks,

Hello! I am looking to come down there from the US and start knocking on doors applying for a job. I'm a pilot with 330 hours. I have 100 hours experience out in the Alaskan bush and prefer to be where it's hot, not cold! Are you looking for any pilots at this time?

Dear fr Patten,
My name is Joe Piper and I’m a final year medical student at Oxford University. I was really impressed with the work that you and flying medical services do. I was wondering if it would be possible to spend part of my time as an elective student with flying doctors between April 28th – June 1st 2012 (preferably at either end of this block). I also help run a charity involved with medical textbooks and would be happy to bring out some BNF’s and any other books that can be of use.
I’m really interested in global health and paediatrics, and was president of Oxford Global Health Group. I have accepted a paediatric job in Liverpool at Alder Hey Hospital, combining clinical work and research, linked to the Tropical Medicine School.

Thanks very much
Joe

Dear Father Patten,

I am a 4th year medical student at the University of Dundee in Scotland. I am traveling with another colleague to Zanzibar in July 2012 to carry out a medical elective but we were hoping to spend some time doing out reach work as well and I came across this. I was wondering if you have any positions for 2 students in August 2012 for a couple of weeks and if possible if you could send us more information about the flying medical service? I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Sophie McIntyre

Hello,

I'm so sorry for the late respons but we had to wait for more than 3 months before our school decided which students can go to Africa and which students had to stay in Belgium.
We had very good news and we can come to Tanzania. We hope that we still can fly with you and that our dream still can become reality.
We also got an exact date for flying with you: from the 5th of March until the 11th of March. It's also no problem for us to travel for more than 3 days with you, we have than a lot of time so maybe we can travel 6 days with you if it's possible.

We hope that we get a positive mail back!

In Advaced, I thank you for spending your time in reading this mail!
